The opposition to the industrial wine in Beaujolais dates back to the '80 with the "Gang of Four of Morgon": Marcel Lapierre, Jean Foillard, Guy Breton and Jean-Paul Thévenet.
The four decided to limit the intervention in the vineyard and the winery, with the objective to reproduce authentic and natural wines.
Karim Vionnet is the disciple of Guy Breton, with whom he worked until he bought his first 2 hectares of vineyards in 2006 and started business on his own.
